ART + TECHNOLOGY + SCIENCE
CREATING IN THE 3RD SPACE
Combine thinking and practice across disciplines. We build new knowledge from science, technology, art and design towards the development of creative technological artefacts (applications, systems, environments and experiences).
All our practices are technological oriented: algorithms, systems, environments, applications, architectures, human-computer interfaces, multi-sensorial and display technologies, among others.
Research, Development & Experimentation
We orient our research, development and experimentation towards inter-multi-and transdisciplinary methodologies and approaches that bring new knowledge, artefacts, experiences and thinking to society.
InVitro activates the whole cycle of research, discussion, creation, production and social integration of cultural production related with innovation, practice based research and development in-between art, science and technology. Aiming to implement education programs and establish an open dynamics between institutions and the community integration, to create the opportunities and to enhance artistic and education programs on the digital arts/ art and technology field, InVitro project will launch an European platform, on line and in Lisbon, renewing and developing audiences, working to build through interdisciplinary research, practices and artistic creativity important answers for our contemporary world. Focusing on the creative potentiality of cultural difference and experience: from methodologies to practices, from creation to audience experience, the project dynamics is framed by an intense international training program, monthly exhibitions, artists’ talks, conferences, publications.
“… following the transdisciplinary path in-between research, artefacts, experiences and creative thinking… in short it is all about fostering a better enjoyable world.”
To work for the development and fostering of technological artefacts based on the crossroad of inter-multi- and transdisciplinary, cross-sector collaboration, innovation and creative thinking.
